Appliance:

PFOS is a kind of Fluorine compounds, there are some compounds such as C8F17SO2X in the market at present, in which X stands for hydroxide, metal salt, halide, amide, and other ramifications which contains polymers. Because PFOS is oil and water proof, it is wildly used in the areas of textile, carpet, and paper; also used in the manufacturing areas, such as shoe leather, packing, printing and dyeing, Cleaning Products, cosmetic, pesticide, fire protection and hydraulic pressure oil.

Surface dealing with, including clothes, furniture and car’s interior。

Paper protection, including food container and carton;

Special performance chemicals, including chrome plating, coatings for photolithography processes, foaming fire extinguishing agent, hydraulic fluids for aviation, and so on;

Using limit: The USA, Canada, Australia and Sweden have announced restricting or forbidding using of PFOS in succession.

Else: PFOS is not included in the EU controlling regulations at present, but it has been on the observing list.
